Keep our Area in Your Prayers
So many want to fix blame and even I have theories, but they don't help.
What am I talking about? The gulf oil spill. We need prayers and help.
Keep New Orleans and the surrounding coast lines in your prayers. Do what you can to help in whatever means God lays on your heart. I'm good right now. I know there are people closer than I to the areas affected. I have placed a NASA image with where my earthly abode is located. Keep us in your hearts and prayers.
Be blessed. Be a blessing.

it outlook for the entire golf is bleak, to say the least.
I've just learned that the U.S. is the only country in the world that doesn't require oil companies to have that $500,000 shut-off switch. In view of the damage caused, I hope there are more controls in the future that at least eliminate the idea that the valve could have prevented the disaster. You know, of course, that PB's lack of maintenance cause the horrific explosion in Galveston some years ago.
I will certainly say a prayer for your area Glen, I live on the South coast of England and many the time we have had small oil spillages so I guess yours is much worse.
I wish you all the best of luck.
Yvonne.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe most, if not all, of the rigs in the gulf are foreign...I could be wrong.
Now if you look at one of my earlier posts about being in the middle of the road. I'm not for extreme environmentalism, but I'm neither for reckless capitalism. If a business knows it has a problem...FIX IT!!!
Everybody from the least of these to the greatest of these has got to be aware of our impact on those around us...THAT'S WHAT LOVE DOES...
There should be NO political games played. If it was the company's fault...prosecute. If it was sabotage...prosecute.
Anyway...I'm sort of ticked all around...oh well. Be angry and sin not. Thanks for the prayers everyone.
Be blessed. Be a blessing. Pray for the least of these. Take care of your families.

Will definitely keep your area in my prayers. My family lives in Baton Rouge and many just south of them are worried not only about the negative impact on the coastline but their livelihoods as well.
I can't believe a $500,000 switch is not mandatory. The clean up is going to cost possibly hundreds of millions, not to mention the damage done to the Gulf Coast states that may be irreparable. My heart and prayers are with all those affected.
