A Poem I Wrote

I hope you don't mind my ruminations
As I try to shed some illuminations
On my silent consideration
About the state of this creation
I wonder about the way we act
The "what we do" or why we react
Are they illusions of is it fact
Or is this deck of life just stacked
I ponder what is said to me
Yet sometimes accept most willingly
The tales that they impart to be
Their views, though sometimes hard to see
I sometimes feel I'm on sinking sand
While seeking out a helping hand
And are denied the chance to take a stand
And sheepishly give in to their demands
The simple path of least resistance
Is taken due to their persistence
And Truth is lost to their insistence
That life is nothing more than chance
