Page 2...Concept Album...Shrapnel

The outside noise increases as more of the hoi polloi stumble into the waiting day. In the distance someone lays on their car horn. Why?

Gazing out of my window, insipid characters pass in front of me as if in some dull stage play. Each player seems to be mindlessly sleepwalking through the parts they have chosen to play. Some faces, devoid of joy, show wear and tear from lives lived without knowledge, point or purpose. Do we question the ritual?

Song 2...Ritual

The door flings open
on another working day
And I move into the street
To silently survey

Faces on their way
Some I'll never know
Other's I'll never meet
This one is on the go

This one is hurting
One thinks he's okay
There's a smile on an innocent boy
And one with something to say

As we go through this ritual
Pursuing some temporal prize
And our lives become habitual
Worthless treasures dangled before our eyes...

Will I find an answer
Or some sense of truth
Or wake up to discover
I've wasted away my youth

The players in this ritual
Like cattle, herd on by
Afraid to touch the people passing
Some comical, some just want to die

As we go through this ritual
Pursuing some temporal prize
And our lives become habitual
Worthless treasures dangled before our eyes...

(Bridge) May we break out of this ritual
May we find what's has been paid so dear
May we listen to the voice so quiet
In the silence may we hear

May we question this silly ritual
And stop pursuing this fleeting prize
And realize it's so comical
To chase after all these lies...

I agree with Bud - but take it a step further and submit it for professional recording.

    I'll say what you always say;

  6. Music is formulating...
    Maybe I'll try recording something.
    I'm not rockstar material though.
So, if I do record something, don't expect much...
    Be blessed. Be a blessing.
And help me to learn to get over myself...
I loves me some Pink Floyd.

  7. You're very talented, Glen, and should record, like Bud wrote, and upload to U-tube. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step (musical note)!
